Greek Defense Minister Nikolaos Panaiotopoulos took part in the Conference of the Contact Group on Defense Issues in Ukraine, which was organized at the initiative of US Defense Chief Lloyd Austin, and stated that his country provided Ukraine with ammunition and 20 BMP-1 armored combat vehicles.

This is stated on the official website of the Ministry of Defense of Greece.

The conference was attended by ministers and other high-ranking officials from 54 countries, and current events in Ukraine were discussed, emphasizing the need for rapid delivery of defense equipment, training of military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and cooperation between defense industrial enterprises. 

During his speech, the Minister of National Defense emphasized that Russia's invasion of Ukraine is a gross violation of international law that undermines peace, security and stability in Europe.

In addition, the Armed Forces may receive Bradley

infantry fighting vehicles 

 in the next few weeks.

Ukrainian soldiers will be trained in Germany on the basis of joint military training.
