Finland is preparing to provide a new package of military aid to Ukraine.

An intensive discussion is currently underway regarding the transfer of tanks for the Armed Forces. 

This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Finland, Pekka Haavisto, at a press conference on Monday, February 13. 

"The Finnish government has not yet made a final decision regarding the supply of Leopard, this issue will be actively discussed by the Finnish authorities. We will be a part of this initiative in one way or another, so we constantly maintain a dialogue with Germany, Poland and other countries," Haavisto said.

It is not yet known what the new aid package from Finland will contain.

We previously reported that Finnish President Sauli Niinisto believes in accession 

Finland and Sweden in NATO this year.

TSN.ua also informed that 

Finland is discussing the creation of a tank unit in Europe.

The country's leader explained that it is not enough to "take one tank here, another one there."
