Venerable Master Xingyun passed away today to praise, and 30,000 believers saw him off at dawn.

[Reporter Hong Chenhong/Kaohsiung Report] Venerable Hsing Yun's death tribute ceremony was held at 9:00 am today, and 30,000 believers went to Fo Guang Shan to see him off at dawn.

President Tsai Ing-wen personally issued a commendation order, President of the Executive Yuan Chen Chien-jen personally paid tribute, and Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Qimai also awarded Xingyun an honorary citizen certificate.

The praise ceremony was held at Yunju Building at 9:00 a.m., but before dawn a large number of tour buses poured into Fo Guang Shan, and the roads around Fo Guang Shan on Taiwan 29 Highway were once congested, and believers filed up the mountain to see Master Xing Yun off.

President Tsai Ing-wen paid tribute to Venerable Hsing Yun this morning and presented a Commendation Order. Executive Yuan President Chen Chien-jen was also present to pay tribute. KMT Chairman Zhu Lilun awarded the KMT’s highest honor practice first-class medal, and Chen Qimai presented the Kaohsiung City Honorary Citizenship Certificate.

Relevant praise ceremonies are currently being carried out, including singing incense praise (Buddha Light Praise, Heart Sutra, Maha Prajna Paramita), video of Master Hsing Yun's journey, and Song of the Three Jewels. Representatives from all walks of life pay tribute to Master Hsing Yun's memory. The representative expressed his gratitude, and later, for the verses of praise and farewell songs for the master, the public performed three inquiries to Master Xingyun, and the family members bowed nine times to the real body of the teacher, and moved the real body of the dharma body to sit in the niche and patrol the mountain.

After the death praise ceremony, send to Tainan Daxian Temple for cremation (cremation). It is expected to return to Fo Guang Shan at 5:30 p.m. and be buried in Wanshou Garden.
