Due to certain requirements for the member countries of the Alliance, Ukraine will be in NATO after the end of the war with Russia.

Oleg Katkov, editor-in-chief of the Defense Express military portal, told about this in an exclusive interview with TSN.ua.

"I have some skepticism about Ukraine's membership in NATO until victory. First of all, there are certain requirements for NATO countries, in particular, regarding the novelty of territorial disputes. Secondly, this will not be a process that will take place in 5 minutes. It may drag on, because this decision should be collective for all NATO members. This is demonstrated, for example, by the entry of Sweden and Finland and the position of Turkey," Katkov said.

According to him, the issue of Ukraine's accession to NATO will be resolved, but only after victory.

The Alliance itself is interested in this.

"First, with regard to the security configuration. This is actually a condition for the existence of world security. It seems to me that objectively this issue has been resolved. Now it is a matter of time," the expert added.

Oleg Katkov listed the signs that Ukraine will join NATO.

First of all, he noted the steady increase in support from the Allies.

"Secondly, many defense companies in the world are already beginning to actively enter the Ukrainian defense market. They understand that the war will end with the victory of Ukraine. Permits, which are necessary for the sale of the latest weapons, Ukraine, as a member of NATO, will 100% receive." , - added Katkov.
