The generators planned for donation to the border points with the Republic of North Macedonia (RSM) will be diverted for donation to Turkey, where the need is much more acute, acting Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Ivan Demerdzhiev commented to journalists

Ivan Demerdzhiev is a lawyer with over 20 years of experience.

He was born in 1975 in Plovdiv.

In 2001 in Blagoevgrad.

To a journalist's question about the generators promised on February 4 for the three borders with the Republic of North Macedonia, Minister Demerdzhiev indicated that they are provided, but due to the disaster that occurred in Turkey after the powerful earthquakes, the need there is greater and the donation will be redirected.

I hope that the Republic of North Macedonia will find the strength and means to secure its border control better, said Minister Demerdzhiev and added that there are upcoming consular consultations in which he hopes to participate.

"We will clarify all the problems there and if we can help, we will help them, but the need in Turkey is much more acute at the moment, it concerns saving human lives and I think the three generators will go there," the interior minister also said, BTA reported.
