Richard, who was driving Abel to and from the supermarket in the triple-death case, was waiting outside when his son opened fire.

After Richard was arrested, he confessed that he did not know that his son had a gun on him, and that he did not know that his son had shot and killed three people.

Richard said Abel ran out of the store and jumped into the back seat, yelling at him that someone had shot and got the car away.

As for Abel, he escaped on the night of the crime and his whereabouts are still unknown. Richard always insisted that he did not know where his son was.
