"S&P Global Ratings" international rating agency has determined the economic and industrial risk trends in the banking sector of Azerbaijan as stable.

"APA-Economics" reports that this was stated in the Agency's risk assessment for the banking sector.

"S&P Global Ratings" assessed Azerbaijan again with 9 points on a 10-point scale due to the level of risk growth in this sector.

The Agency has kept the risks on economic sustainability very high and the risks on economic imbalance high.

As in last November's assessment, "S&P" identified institutional framework risks on industry trends as extremely high, risks related to competitive dynamics as high, and system-wide funding risks as very high.

It reduced credit risks in the economy from extremely high to very high.

It should be noted that according to the Agency's banking industry country risk assessment (BICRA), 1 point is the lowest and 10 points is the highest risk.

It should be noted that among the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus, Azerbaijan is ranked below Georgia, Armenia and Uzbekistan, and ahead of Kazakhstan.
