They found the remains of a Bulgarian woman who disappeared in Germany 10 years ago.

The woman disappears without a trace and so far the search for her has been unsuccessful.

She was wanted by dozens of investigators and even the "Homicide" department of the police in Hamburg, darik.bg reported.

The Bulgarian Nargis Aydan Salim disappeared without a trace at the beginning of March 2013. The

29-year-old woman lives in the "Wilhelmsburg" district in Hamburg, which is inhabited by many Turkish immigrants.

Nargis is surrounded by her distant relatives and a few acquaintances.

She does not tell them that she is about to be absent.

At first, everyone assumed that Nargis had traveled to Bulgaria to visit her family, which she often does.

However, her parents have not had contact with her since the beginning of March either.

Nargis is wanted by the German police, who distribute her photos.

Posters were put up in her neighborhood, but there was no sign of the woman for months.

In October, the case was taken over by the Homicide Department of the Hamburg police.

According to investigators, there is reason to believe that the woman is already dead.

The reason for this is given by information they receive from the interrogations of Nargiz's relatives.

She had a relationship with Cengiz, a Turk 5 years older than her, who is married and the father of two children.

A few months before the woman's disappearance, the two separated.

The initiator of this is Cengiz, while Nargiz insists that their relationship continue.

They found the Bulgarian woman wanted in Italy

The former lover becomes the main suspect and is detained by the police, and a gun is found in his home.

The police organized a large-scale search for the body of the missing woman in a nature reserve near Hamburg, in which 150 officers participated.

However, it did not yield results and was discontinued.

Without Cengiz's corpse, no charges could be brought and he was released.

For the next 10 years, the case remained unsolved, until a breakthrough occurred at the beginning of this year.

On Sunday, January 15, a fisherman casts his fishing line into the waters of the Ernst-August canal in Hamburg.

When he pulls her out, she has a lady's slipper on with bone remains on it.

The man then pulls a plastic bag with more bones out of the water.

He immediately calls the police, who cordon off the area.

A search of the bottom of the channel begins, which continues for several days.

Divers find a skull, bones and a second shoe.

There are speculations in the German press that this case is about a serial killer who dismembers the victims.

Bild newspaper draws an analogy with a prostitute from Hamburg who was murdered and dismembered in 2017.

Parts of her body were found in various bodies of water, and the perpetrator remains undiscovered.

The conclusion of the medical examiners about the human remains found in the canal near Hamburg is that they belong to Nargis Salim, who disappeared 10 years ago.

Suspicion turns again to her former lover Cengiz.

However, he has not been in Germany for several months

.

Investigators learned that in early February, the man planned to fly from Istanbul to Hamburg.

At the German airport, police officers are waiting for him in handcuffs.

Currently, 43-year-old Cengiz is in custody, where he will probably wait for the trial against him to begin.
