Russian troops in the

Bakhmut

direction are making offensive attempts, relying on the tactics of small groups.

The occupiers are betting more on manpower than on their military equipment.

Serhiy Cherevaty, the spokesman of the Eastern Group of Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said about this in a comment on Channel 24.

"On the Bakhmut direction, the enemies are acting with the tactics of small groups, which are trying to approach our positions under the cover of the terrain and engage in close combat," Cherevaty said.

Also, according to him, the occupiers near Bakhmut are trying to rely more on manpower than on armored vehicles.

They pay attention to the weather.

Their technique hits from the damage immediately where it appears.

Cherevaty added that the Russian Armed Forces also use aviation, but they do not succeed in dominating the air.

Air targets are monitored by Ukrainian air defense (and air defense systems, MANPADS, and fighter aircraft).

"It cannot be said that aviation is the main factor in supporting their actions. Artillery certainly does more. The Russians have the ability to cover their positions and strike. Aviation strikes quickly and tries to move away from positions quickly," the spokesman said.

Battles for Bakhmut in Donetsk region

Bakhmut remains the main target of attack by the Russian occupiers in eastern Ukraine.

During the day of February 10,

a record 54 combat clashes took place

here .

However, the enemy has still not managed to cut the supply routes for the Ukrainian defenders.

As Volodymyr Nazarenko, deputy commander of the "Freedom" battalion, said, the Ukrainian military repulses constant assaults of the Russians near Bakhmut 24 hours a day.

The Armed Forces are holding back the enemy's onslaught, but they need more ammunition.

On February 11, Ukrainian border guards

shot down a Russian Su-25 attack aircraft that was bombing Bakhmut
