Russian troops located on the Kinburn spit are shelling the Ochakiv direction in order to prevent Mykolaiv Oblast from joining the grain agreement.

The rotation here is connected with the difficult moral and psychological state of the enemy.

Nataliya Gumenyuk, head of the joint press center of the "South" operational command, told about this on the air of the telethon.

"If we consider the geography of the Kinburn spit of the peninsula, which is connected by land to the temporarily occupied Kherson region, we understand that the main concentration of troops is directly at the root of this peninsula, where they feel more or less protected, far from the Defense Forces of Ukraine. What they put forward their specific objects for fire damage, deploy fire positions on the other side of the Kinburn spit closer to Ochakov, these are precisely the cases when they act point-wise and immediately close in from there. Because they understand that they will receive damage in return," said Humenyuk .

According to her, the enemy is systematically hitting the water area, continuing terrorism against international sea transport routes in order to exclude Mykolaiv Oblast from the grain agreement.

In addition, the invaders destroy critical infrastructure to deprive the local population of the comforts of civilization.

"The fact that the enemy is trying to rotate personnel is more related to his moral and psychological state. Because a long-term stay there without certain combat successes demoralizes people," Humenyuk added.
