Fierce battles are taking place for Bakhmut, where the occupiers operate with the tactics of small groups.

Border guards destroyed dozens of occupiers and neutralized an enemy drone near the city.

The State Border Service reported this on February 12.

"For several days in the Luhansk region, aerial scouts in cooperation with mortars identified and destroyed concentrations of infantry, firing positions and enemy shelters. The border guards-mortars also destroyed several dugouts of the Russian occupying forces along with the enemy's manpower," the message says.

Ukrainian artillery fighters destroyed up to four infantry groups of the occupiers in the Bakhmut area.

"Here, defenders constantly hold back assaults. Often in close combat," the State Border Service reports.

During one of the offensives in the suburb of Bakhmut, border guards shot down an enemy UAV that was adjusting fire with a "shot" from an anti-drone gun.

After that, Ukrainian fighters launched a counterattack.

"With fire from small arms, automatic and anti-tank grenade launchers, the defenders pushed back the rifle unit of the Russians. The enemy's losses were: 11 dead occupants and 6 wounded," the source added.

Let us add that the occupiers in the

Bakhmut

direction are betting more on manpower than on their military equipment.
