Some world leaders believe that our country will need 10 years to become a full member of the European Union.

However, Volodymyr Zelenskyi does not think so.

During a speech at a summit organized by the JP Morgan bank, the Ukrainian leader said that Ukraine will become a member of the EU in two years.

The President is convinced that Ukraine has every reason for this.

"Today there are certain pessimists among world leaders who believe that Ukraine needs 10 years to become a member of the EU. But they mostly know us and sometimes even fear our spirit, our energy. Therefore, we see that we can be in the EU in two years ", the head of the country noted.

At the same time, Zelensky reminded that Ukraine needs security guarantees.

And the best guarantee for Ukraine will be NATO membership.

Zelensky believes that over time Ukraine will join the Alliance.

"We believe that we will be in NATO before all the leaders decide that our package of security guarantees is the right one. Because they make decisions slowly, it is a bureaucracy... And I believe that after victory we will be in NATO," - Zelensky said.

It will be recalled that on September 30, the president announced that Ukraine is applying for NATO membership under an accelerated procedure.
