Ukraine expected a sharp, large-scale offensive by the Russians, but it did not happen.

So far, the activation of the occupiers has begun in several areas: Kupyansk, Lymansk, Bakhmut, Avdiyiv, and Vugledar.

Military expert Vladyslav Seleznyov told about this in an interview with "Obozrevatel".

According to him, the Russians have attracted a large number of forces and means, in particular near Vugledar, but they continue to suffer huge losses and have no success.

Seleznyov emphasizes that this is only the first stage of a large-scale offensive of the Russian Federation - reconnaissance by combat.

It is still too early to say that Russia's attack was a success.

According to the expert, the occupiers are now accumulating forces and means in the south of the Zaporizhzhia region, as well as in the territory of the Luhansk region.

"The situation has a tendency to escalate. I will not risk saying that the plan of Putin's army has completely failed. By the way, regarding Bakhmut, I believe that within the next two days (February 11 and 12 - ed.) we will have an understanding of the situation." - said Seleznev.

He added that it is very important for the Armed Forces to hold not only the positions in Bakhmut, but the roads connecting Bakhmut with the mainland, because the logistics of the Ukrainian garrisons in that area depend on it.

It will be recalled that Ukrainian intelligence said that despite the occupiers' attempt to activate their troops in the east of Ukraine, the Russian army does not have enough resources to launch a large-scale offensive by February 24.
