Nobel Peace Prize winner Ebadi called on Iran to unite, get rid of religious control, and move toward democratization.

[Instant News/Comprehensive Report] It has been nearly half a year since Iran’s hijab revolution. Recently, a group of protesters in exile called for “unity to end internal strife.” Nobel Peace Prize winner Shirin Ebadi is also on the list of overseas protesters , I hope that Iran will get rid of religious control and replace Islamic theocracy with a democratic system.

According to Agence France-Presse, the group of prominent protesters in exile includes Reza Pahlavi, the son of Iran's last shah, and Ebadi, the 2003 Nobel Peace Prize winner.

Protesters abroad are understood to be working on a charter to transition to a new system and hold democratic elections.

Ebadi said, "Now is not the time for infighting. It is impossible to overthrow the regime without empathy and unity." She believes that the Iranian people should put aside their differences and work together towards a better future.

Pahlavi has long been a supporter of Iran getting rid of religious control and welcoming secular democratization.

"Agence France-Presse" pointed out that most analysts believe that the turban revolution has lost its original intention of resistance, and the suppression has caused at least hundreds of deaths, thousands of arrests, and four were sentenced to hanging.
