As the TV company "Mtavari Arkhi" reported with reference to the National Center for Seismic Monitoring of the Institute of Earth Sciences, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 occurred at 19:33 (18:33 Kyiv time).

Its epicenter was located in the area of ​​Mount Bahmaro near the town of Ozurgeti.

According to local residents, the tremors were strongly felt in high-rise buildings.

After what happened against the background of reports from neighboring Turkey, people are afraid to return to high-rise buildings.

According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center, two more aftershocks were recorded after this earthquake, the magnitude was 3.0.

Their epicenter was also located in the Ozurgeti area.

According to unconfirmed information, the earthquake was also felt by residents of the nearby city of Batumi.
