A court in the USA found 28-year-old Minnesotan Julissa Thaler guilty of the cold-blooded murder of her son.

She shot a 6-year-old boy because he wouldn't sleep.

This is reported by the Daily Mail.

After a quarrel with her son, the young mother became aggressive, took the child out of the house, taking a gun with her.

They got into the car, where she shot the boy nine times.

The woman was stopped by police minutes after a report that someone was driving a car with a broken window and a flat tire.

The police found the boy's body in the trunk.

There was a large bullet hole in the bloody car seat.

Police later found the boy's backpack, containing worksheets and kindergarten homework signed with the slain toddler's name, in a dumpster along the car's route.

DNA tests showed that the blood of the murdered boy was on his mother's clothes and skin.

After examining the defendant's Internet search history, investigators found that she was interested in how to load a shotgun, life insurance payouts if a child dies, and how much blood a six-year-old child can lose.

In January 2021, Julissa Thaler lost custody of her son after the Dakota County Department of Human Services learned she was "experiencing psychosis and hearing voices telling her to take her own life."

However, the child was entrusted to her again, only two weeks before the murder.

The young woman faces life imprisonment without parole.

The verdict will be announced on February 16.

It will be recalled that the former British police officer, 48-year-old David Carrick, was sentenced to life imprisonment for 49 crimes related to sexual violence.

After 32 years, he will be eligible for pardon.
