The self-proclaimed president of Belarus

 , Oleksandr Lukashenko

, said that it is necessary to curb prices in the country, "using the advantages of the dictatorship."

In his opinion, the market economy of the Republic of Belarus has become "corrupt".

He stated this at a meeting on pricing, reports "Pul Perego".

"This is the most difficult work after many years of corruption, market corruption. I understand that it is very difficult to curb prices when millions of people are interested in the corruption of prices. But we have enough power. The advantages of our power, the dictatorship, that is what we must use." - said Lukashenko.

The Belarusian dictator noted that "advanced economists" should give up the "crazy idea" that democracy and the free market "will save the world."

According to Lukashenko, the market economy allegedly does not work.

The self-proclaimed head of state explained on the example of sanctions against Russia.

"If the market is regulated by supply and demand, then why has a price ceiling been set for Russia's main commodity? I mean oil and oil products. Why did the West and the US start regulating prices? It's a market economy. We have to live by our own minds... If we see unjustified rise in prices is unknown from where... my demand remains unchanged. There is no democracy in them and no free market," the dictator said.

We will remind, the other day
