The Embassy of Ukraine in this country has already managed to organize a departure on the 12th.

This was stated by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to Turkey Vasyl Bodnar, writes Ukrinform.

"We have a request to evacuate and assist approximately 62 people.

Yesterday, we managed to evacuate 12 people with the help of our colleagues and acquaintances who had transport there.

To date, contact has been established with 96 persons, citizens of Ukraine.

Now we are waiting for information on another 22", - noted the Ukrainian diplomat.

Ukrainian consuls left for Hatay province on December 9.

They are carrying humanitarian aid and will also be ready to evacuate our citizens to safer provinces.

"There is information that up to five citizens of Ukraine may be under the rubble.

But I think this is very preliminary information.

And we will know this later, when they check the places of residence of Ukrainians," the official summarized.

The search is currently underway.

In total, 120,000 rescuers and more than 12,000 pieces of equipment, as well as 160 planes and 20 ships, are taking part in the operation.

We would like to add that on February 6, a large-scale earthquake occurred on the territory of Turkey and Syria.
