The flight of the Belarusian cosmonaut has been postponed for six months, the general director of the state corporation of space activities "Roscosmos" Yury Barysau said in an interview with "RIA Novosti".

According to him, this is connected with the extension of the flight of the crew of the Soyuz MS-22 ship with a faulty cooling system.

Initially, the flight of the Belarusian cosmonaut was scheduled for March 2023.

Later, they announced that due to the irregular situation, it could be postponed until the fall.

Six applicants for a space flight from Belarus passed the medical commission - first in their homeland, and then in Russia.

All of them were deemed fit for flight to the International Space Station.
