Women in Armenia will be able to go to military service from the winter of 2023.

APA reports that Defense Minister Suren Papikyan said this at the government meeting.

He said that the law on women's voluntary service stipulates that the military service period should be 6 months.

After the end of this period, women soldiers who passed the certification like men will be able to start a 5-year contract military service.
