Even before the start of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, many conscripted Ukrainians were abroad and still have not returned.

What to do if a person is abroad, and a summons came to his home, attorney and jurist Nadiya Hryshchenko said in a comment to the "Fakty ICTV" publication.

The lawyer emphasized that summonses are not served in foreign diplomatic institutions.

In addition, if a conscript legally crossed the border after the invasion of the Russian Federation, he had to inform the military commissariat about his move.

Therefore, the military commissariat will have information that the conscript went abroad and will not send a summons.

If they want to serve a summons to a relative of a conscript, they should simply explain that the person is abroad and will not be able to return.

The lawyer reminded that the summons is delivered personally to the person who is summoned to the Military Commissariat.

"Therefore, if a person is abroad, no one but himself will be able to receive a summons. To receive a summons, a conscripted person signs a receipt (the root of the summons) and fills in the date when he received such a summons," says Hryshchenko.

"Since the man is abroad and cannot accept the summons himself, he does not have the obligation to come to the military commissariat."

It was previously reported that the famous TV presenter Nesmyanov, who has been at the front since March, received a summons.
