New Zealand's navy has intercepted a floating shipment of cocaine in the Pacific Ocean - the largest

drug seizure in the country's history.

This is reported by the BBC.

The find weighs 3.2 tons and is worth $316 million.

The packages were hung with buoys and some were marked with the Batman and clover symbol.

"This is the biggest find of illegal drugs by New Zealand agencies. It's more than New Zealand would use in 30 years," New Zealand Police Commissioner Andrew Koster said.

"The drugs were destined for Australia. This would be enough to service the country's black market for a year," the police added.

The found consignment of cocaine has already been sent to special centers in Auckland for documentation and destruction.

We will remind, earlier in Spain, a large-scale operation to combat drug trafficking ended with mass arrests.

Spanish law enforcement officers confiscated

more than 32 tons of "cones" of marijuana, which is the equivalent of 1.1 million hemp plants.
