This Thursday, the Vice President of Colombia, France Elena Márquez Mina, will arrive in Cuba on an official visit, reported the website of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

As part of his work schedule, he will participate in the Havana International Book Fair, which begins this Thursday and will last for ten days, precisely with Colombia as the guest of honor.

Recently, Márquez Mina expressed that the cultural ties between the two nations are a binational asset that must be strengthened, and the literary event is the golden opportunity in this regard.

She specified that, in her nation, she leads the Africa-Caribbean strategy, and Cuba is one of those that, in Latin America, has most developed its diplomatic relations with countries of the continent, and has been the protagonist of transcendental political processes, such as the dialogues for peace in Colombia.

"Returning to Cuba as vice president of the Republic of Colombia, after having come a few years ago as a member of the table of victims in the peace talks between the Colombian State and the FARC, is evidence that in Colombia we are making our desire come true. of total peace," said the deputy president.
