The Embassy of Turkey in Azerbaijan made a statement in the Azerbaijani media about the adoption by Azerbaijanis of children who lost their parents in the earthquake in Turkey.

APA reports that in the statement it was noted that the mentioned proposal was received with respect.

"Regarding some news in the Azerbaijani media about the earthquakes that occurred in our country, ideas about "Citizens of Azerbaijan can be a foster family" have been spread for our children.

The information of the Ministry of Family and Social Services of the Republic of Turkey regarding the adoption of children affected by the earthquake only applies to our citizens living in Turkey.

The issue of giving our children to any family outside the country or adopting them is not a subject of discussion", - it was emphasized in the information.
