On the night of February 9, Russian troops shelled Nikopol,

Dnipropetrovsk region, from barrel artillery.

A man born in 1985 died as a result of the attack.

This was announced by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, Mykola Lukashuk.

According to him, the occupiers hit the residential quarter of the city with heavy artillery.

As a result of the attack, at least 16 residential buildings, as well as one private enterprise, were damaged.

Also, 7 outbuildings were gutted, another one was destroyed.

Two cars, power grids, and a gas line were also affected. 

In his turn, the mayor of Nikopol, Oleksandr Sayuk, reported that power lines and gas lines were also damaged.

Currently, specialists are working on their restoration.

"Work is ongoing to eliminate the consequences of the Russian attack. All infrastructure is functioning. Utilities are working," added the head of the city.
