The man who was run over and killed by a bus in the village of Tsalapitsa turned out to be one of the cruel criminals in Plovdiv, writes TrafficNews.

He is 44-year-old Nikolay Asenov, nicknamed Shakata, whose record can easily enter the Guinness Book of Records.

Shakata has spent most of his conscious life behind bars, having been convicted of dozens of crimes.

He was tried for thefts, kidnapping of children, robbery of prostitutes, rape. 

Police officers who worked on crimes committed by Asenov claim that he was extremely cruel and unscrupulous.

He systematically used heavy narcotic substances and committed crimes under their influence.

Shakata, who lives in Stolipinovo, was in Tsalapitsa last night.

He spent the night under a bus that was parked in the village.

When the bus driver was boarding, he did not see that there was a person under him and drove the heavy vehicle over him as he drove off.

Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case.
