For example, in the case of iRent customer personal information leakage, the Ministry of Communications has imposed a fine of 200,000 yuan in accordance with the provisions of Article 27, Item 1 and Item 2 of the Personal Information Law. Other similar cases have been requested to the Ministry of Communications to expedite the processing.

Chen Zongyan emphasized that regarding whether to establish an independent review and supervision mechanism for information security in the future, the president has instructed three political commissars, Luo Bingcheng, Gong Mingxin, and Wu Zhengzhong, to conduct comprehensive research on the existing platform, and the Constitutional Court has declared that it is necessary to establish an independent information protection mechanism. As for the monitoring mechanism, the national human rights action plan also mentioned the priority of an independent privacy agency.
