  • moong dal

  • Ghee 

  • Asafoetida

  • Cumin

  • Green chilly

Method-

To make bajra khichdi, first of all you have to wash and roast the bajra well.

Then keep it soaked for a few hours.

If you want, you can also keep moong dal soaked.

After this, put ghee/oil in a pressure cooker and add asafoetida, cumin seeds.

After the cumin crackles, add onion and fry it well.

Then add tomatoes and green chilies, salt and cook till the tomatoes melt.

Now put bajra and moong dal in it and fry them lightly.

Add water as required and cover the lid.

Cook till 2-3 whistles, after the gas of the cooker goes out, garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
