Maxar Technologies has released satellite images from the Turkish city of Antakya, which was hit by
an earthquake.

The company notes that the pictures were taken on February 8.

"Damage can be seen all over the territory," the company clarifies, adding that a particularly large number of high-rise buildings collapsed.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared a three-month state of emergency in the 10 provinces most affected by the earthquake.
The country also announced seven days of mourning in connection with the tragedy.
