When Ma Ying-jeou was interviewed, he talked about Master Xingyun, and he was deeply impressed by his initiative to join the ranks of anti-drugs. He said that he once took Master Xingyun to visit a drug rehabilitation village run by Christianity in a prison. He immediately said that Buddha Light would also accept the challenge. The anti-drug momentum was booming. During that period, religious drug rehabilitation was the most effective way in China, and Master Xingyun's willingness to join was the key.

The media then asked about political issues such as the candidate for the KMT's presidential election, but Ma Ying-jeou left without any response.
