During 2022, about 2 billion 281 million dollars of operating costs and about 463 million dollars (collection - 2 744 billion dollars - ed.) were spent on the activities of the "Shah Deniz" gas-condensate field.

According to the information provided by "APA-Economics" with reference to the report published by BP (the operator of the project) on the results of 2022 on the operations conducted in Azerbaijan, the vast majority of these costs were related to the "Shahdeniz-2" project.

"In 2022, approximately 25 billion standard cubic meters of gas and more than 4 million tons (approximately 36 million barrels) of condensate were produced from the field - from the "Shah Deniz Alfa" and "Shah Deniz Bravo" platforms together.

The production capacity of the existing "Shah Deniz" facilities is currently about 74 million standard cubic meters per day (more than 27 billion per year), the report stated.

According to the report, in 2022, within the framework of the "Shahdeniz-2" project, production was started from the west-south flank.

On the east-northern side, the installation work continued on both the underwater and upper modules on the "Shah Deniz Bravo" platform.

Within the framework of the project, the installation works of all the pipes in the sea, including the east-north pipes, have been completed.

Laying, connecting and connecting underwater flexible cables to the upper modules for direct electric heating cables and production control systems of the east-northern flank continued.

In general, all subsea installation works in the north-east flank continued according to the schedule towards the planned start of production in 2023.

Istiglal and Maersk Explorer drilling rigs drilled a total of 21 wells within the Shah Deniz 2 project.

These include five wells on the north flank of the field, four wells on the west flank, four wells on the east-south flank, five wells on the west-south flank and three wells on the east-north flank.
