"Erdogan will use all possible mechanisms to help his countrymen, but also to establish himself as the leader of Turkey and from the point of view of the upcoming elections, which come one month after the Bulgarian ones. From a political point of view, the disaster in Turkey shows how far Erdogan continues to be the strong man in Turkey and to what extent he manages to deal with this huge crisis. He is adequate at the moment, he is aggressive in his desire to deal with this catastrophe, commented to BNT Milen Keremedchiev, former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

According to him, the criticism leveled at the Turkish president is unfounded.

"There was a very important statement by him that no Turkish citizen who is currently homeless will be left homeless and will receive help. Imagine this great country, which despite being well structured, is facing a monstrous earthquake and massive damage "13,000 buildings have collapsed. So at the beginning the reaction in terms of the organization may have been a little delayed, but very quickly afterwards it was activated," added Milen Keremedchiev.

According to him, because of many coup attempts, because of the situation with the Kurds, from the point of view of internal security, Turkey has a very well-structured security and prevention system, which is why all the services were activated very quickly.

"The situation in Syria will be uncontrollable for a much longer time than what is happening in Turkey," Milen Keremedchiev also said.
