The representative of the "Armenia" faction, the former director of the "Izmirlyan" medical center, Armen Charchyan, was deprived of parliamentary immunity based on the results of a secret vote.

68 deputies participated in the voting, 67 of them voted in favor of the decision.

It was noted that the purpose of taking this step is to initiate a criminal investigation against him.

Charchyan was ordered not to leave the country.

It should be noted that the Prosecutor General of the country, Anna Vardapetyan, addressed the parliament with a corresponding petition.

Charchyan was charged with bribery and pressure on voters during his tenure as the director of the medical center.
