Do young people participate in the National Assembly of Popular Power?

Among the 605 deputies of the IX Legislature, which will cease its functions this year, 80 are young people between 18 and 35 years old, representing 13.2%.

The average age of the current Parliament is 49 years.

But where are we going?

Among the 470 candidates for deputies approved for the next Parliament, there are 94 young people between the ages of 18 and 35, representing 20%.

If the candidacy is confirmed in the March 26 elections, the average age of the National Assembly will be 46 years.
