Military analyst, Colonel Petro Chernyk, told how British long-range missiles and aviation can help Ukraine de-occupy Crimea.

Chernyk told about this in an interview with TSN.ua.

He explained that the British long-range Storm Shadow missiles could destroy the Crimean bridge as the main artery of the peninsula's supply, and the planes would help knock out the Russian aviation in air battles.

"If we talk about aviation, in my opinion,

aviation can help to de-occupy Crimea itself

. I will explain in what way. Long-range weapons, the same Storm Shadow missiles help to completely destroy the Crimean bridge. Several squadrons of such aircraft - 12-24-48, which more is better - engage in dogfights with their aircraft. And given that western aircraft, including British fighters, are an order of magnitude better than anything the Russians have,

little by little we beat them in dogfights as their fighter aviation, and most importantly, heavy transport aircraft

of the An-124 "Ruslan" or Il-76 class, which can deliver ammunition and food to Crimea," the colonel described the probable scenario.

"And Crimea is banally "suffocating". The

entire personnel

and population are exhausted there, so that

there will simply be no one to fight

. And Crimea falls at the Ukrainian feet like a rotten vegetable. Can such a concept be realized purely in the military part - why not? How will be in practice - only time will tell," added Chernyk.

It will be recalled that the day before, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said that discussions are ongoing on the transfer of long-range missiles to Ukraine.

As for aviation, which the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi called for, we should not expect the immediate transfer of fighter jets.

This was announced by British Defense Minister Ben Wallace.

He added that the process could take months.

Earlier, the head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, Oleksiy Reznikova, stated that the state will not use long-range weapons from the United States for strikes on the territory of the Russian Federation.

However, it will be applied to the occupied territories of Ukraine.

Note that the Pentagon doubts that Ukrainian troops will be able to liberate Crimea in the near future.
