The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, arrived in Brussels this morning to participate in the European Union summit and address the European Parliament.

This was reported by the French publication BFMTV.

The first to confirm Zelensky's visit was the President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metzola.

"Historic day for Europe. I am proud to announce that President of Ukraine Zelenskyi will be in the European Parliament this morning to address the House of European Democracy," she wrote on Twitter.

Ursula von der Leyen and Charles Michel met Zelensky at the airport, who arrived together with French President Emmanuel Macron.

"Welcome home, welcome to the EU," Michel wrote.

It will be recalled that 

Macron

awarded Zelensky with the Legion of Honor.

Macron also said that Ukraine can count on France to restore peace

"The plan you have proposed is the basis for discussions on the path that should lead us to an international peace conference," Macron said.
