The Prosecutor's Office in Ohrid has charged Hristiyan Pendikov with grievous bodily harm, the Ohrid Prosecutor's Office reports.

The accusation is against a person who, together with "another unknown person until now, out of hatred due to national and ethnic affiliation, seriously injured" the victim on January 19, Pendikov.

A proposal has been submitted to the Basic Court in Ohrid to extend the remand of the accused, as there is still a danger that he will abscond to avoid prosecution, the prosecutor's office reported, specifying that efforts to identify and arrest the other person involved are continuing in the accident.

"On January 19, in a coffee bar in Ohrid, the defendant first approached the table where the victim was sitting and remarked to him that he identified himself as Bulgarian.
