[Reporter Yao Yuehong/Taipei Report] A 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit Turkey and caused serious casualties. Taiwan’s government and private sector are eager to help. The Fire Department has dispatched two tiers of search and rescue personnel, including the Taipei City Search and Rescue Team, to the disaster. The first tier of personnel has rushed to the disaster. In the disaster area, personnel from the Beishi search and rescue team witnessed the devastation at the scene. There were half or fully collapsed houses on both sides. "It was more serious than imagined."

The first elevator from Taipei City went to Turkey to search and rescue personnel. It arrived at Adana Airport at 3:00 pm local time on the 7th, and took a bus to Adyaiman, the hardest-hit area in the evening. According to the search and rescue personnel, there were no street lights along the way. , the road was pitch black, with half or fully collapsed houses on both sides, and the road was in poor condition.

The personnel of the first echelon search team, led by the Taipei City Search and Rescue Team, pointed out that it took 7 hours to advance half of the 4.5-hour drive. The team arrived at the disaster area at 5:30 am local time on the 8th to start rescue work.

As for the second-echelon search and rescue personnel in Taipei City, they have arrived in Istanbul and are currently preparing to transfer to the disaster area.
