German Chancellor

Olaf Scholz

plans to make a statement in the Bundestag.

It will probably happen on March 2.

This was reported by the parliamentary secretary of the Social Democratic Party of Germany, Katya Mast, writes ntv.

It is noted that the reason for Scholz's speech will be the anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022.

According to Mast, the chancellor wants to comment on the consequences of the "turning point" caused by the aggressive war.

The secretary also recalled the Scholz government's statement a few days after the Russian attack, in which the chancellor used the term Zeitenwende for the first time.

It will be recalled that Chancellor

Scholz called the war in Ukraine "a long-conceived plan

for the forceful expansion of Russia's territory."

According to him, for the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, the negotiations between Kyiv and Brussels were only a "pretext" for this.
