This was stated by the Russian human rights activist, head of the "Sitting Rus'" foundation, Olga Romanova, FREEDOM informs.

According to her, Shoigu's wards are "promoting" Prigozhin in recruitment due to a series of "Wagner" failures, in particular, due to show executions.

"The recruitment failure was in December. It was connected with the publication of non-judicial public executions with the use of a sledgehammer. Recently, a Ukrainian copter captured the massacre of prisoners against their commander," says Romanova.

The prisoners also learned that the management of "Wagner" uses the prisoners as cannon fodder.

"In addition to everything, we are increasingly receiving reports from the front about how the attacks are taking place in Wagner, namely that they first release three or four fighters from among the former prisoners who are walking to their full height, perhaps they are under some influence.

He emphasizes that he is not "Wagner", but the Ministry of Defense. He also talks about what he is currently preparing to the stage to the front of the best of the best, the same ones who were surveyed twice, and that this is done voluntarily, that you can refuse. But he keeps saying that you can refuse for now, and does not hide that he will return," Romanova added.

Prisoners for participation in the murders of Ukrainians are promised

Convicts go to the army at a legal level, since in the Russian Federation they allowed those with a criminal record to serve.

"This proposal compared to the proposal of the "Wagners" has a more attractive appearance, because the prisoners are less interested in money than freedom, because the money is received by relatives at liberty and the prisoners cannot influence them, and most of them have no relatives at all. Earlier, the Russian mass media wrote that PMK "Wagner" is recruiting convicts in the colonies in the second round, but there are ten times fewer willing ones.

According to information from British intelligence, the recruitment of mercenaries in PMK "Wagner" has slowed down significantly in Russia.

Mykhailo Podolyak, adviser to the head of the President's Office, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine eliminated 77% of the "Wagner" prisoners.

According to Russian human rights activists, only 10,000 of the 50,000 Russian convicts recruited by the "Wagner" PMC to participate in the war in Ukraine remained at the front.

The rest were either killed, or wounded, or went missing, or deserted, or surrendered.
