Mutual accusations arose among EU officials.

All because of the possible visit of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi to Brussels.

The Guardian writes about the incident.

It should be noted that the summit of EU leaders will take place on February 9-10 in Brussels.

The information about Zelenskyi's planned trip was first reported by the Italian mass media.

And later, representatives of the European People's Party (EPP) wrote about it on Twitter.

"We look forward to the opportunity to welcome you to Brussels, Mr. President," the publication says.

The President of the European Council, Charles Michel, believes that the responsibility for the leak of information should be borne by the European Parliament.

Instead, in the European Parliament itself, the President of the EP, Roberta Metzola, who is a member of the EPP, who covered this visit, is being blamed.

Moreover, EU diplomats criticized the fact that Charles Michel and the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, are competing in the demonstration of support for Ukraine.

In particular, we are talking about von der Leyen's statements regarding Ukraine's accession to the EU, which many countries consider too "loud".

"The dispute shows how EU institutions are competing and fighting to demonstrate solidarity with Ukraine and their support for Zelensky," writes The Guardian.

In addition, several authoritative Western mass media reported that the Ukrainian president was waiting

in

the capital of the EU , referring to informed interlocutors.
