Mayor Lu said that Master Hsing Yun promoted Humanistic Buddhism throughout his life, and at the same time promoted the Three Goods Movement, which requires "having good intentions, speaking good words, and doing good deeds". The Three Goods Movement is the value of Taiwan. There are also many Fo Guang Shan monasteries in Taichung City, which have held activities such as warming in winter, material donations, public welfare lectures, and prayer ceremonies every year to convey the spirit of Buddhism's participation in the world and serving the people. Master Hsing Yun, the founding patriarch of Fo Guang Shan, peacefully abdicated in the sound of chanting Buddha’s solemn recitation at Fo Guang Shan’s Chuandeng Building on February 5th, and celebrated his 97th birthday. To Yunju Building, the memorial service is open for believers from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm every day. Fo Guang Shan also sends disciples of the Lantern Festival to guard the spirit 24 hours a day. It is scheduled to hold a death tribute ceremony for the master at 9:00 am on February 13 at Yunju Building, Fo Guang Shan , and then sent to Tainan Daxian Temple for "Tabhi" (cremation), and then buried permanently in Fo Guang Shan Longevity Garden.
