Toivo Klaar, the special representative of the European Union (EU) on the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia, discussed regional security issues with Nikoloz Samkharadze, the chairman of the foreign relations committee of the Georgian parliament.

Tbilisi correspondent of APA reports that during the meeting attention was paid to ongoing processes in the South Caucasus.

The parties also paid attention to the mediating role of Georgia between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the peace initiative of the Georgian government.
