The Cuban team that will play the Fifth World Baseball Classic arrived at the Tokyo International Airport, Japan, on Tuesday afternoon.

The players were received by the Cuban ambassador in that country, Miguel Ángel Ramírez Ramos.

On Wednesday they will travel to Okinawa, where the first stage of preparation before the Classic will begin.

The Cubans will play four games.

Their rivals will be Nippon Ham Fighters (February 17), Chunichi Dragons (February 19), Yomiuri Giants (February 22) and SoftBank Falcons (February 23).

The group will play other preparation matches in Taiwan.

His debut in the Classic will be on March 8 against the Netherlands.

Then they will face Italy (March 9), Panama (March 10) and Taiwan (March 12).
