From January 1, the Russians have banned the circulation of the hryvnia

in the temporarily occupied territory

and are trying to take control of local residents.

In this way, the invaders want to make residents dependent on payments in rubles and thus strengthen passporting.

Because the passport itself is a necessary condition for receiving payments.

This was reported to the Center of National Resistance.

"Ukrainians in the temporarily occupied territories refuse to use the ruble and ignore the ban on the circulation of the hryvnia. From January 1, raids began on shops that accept them. Also, the enemy detained money changers as they carried out circulation. In addition, during searches, bank terminals are seized," - it is said in the message.

However, even this does not help, say the CPD, that is why the occupiers have increased responsibility for the circulation of the hryvnia.

Now a fine of 300,000 rubles is provided for the sale of goods in Ukrainian currency.

"This story clearly illustrates the true degree of local residents' support for the occupiers, and not the numbers that the Russians paint in pseudo-referendums," the Center for National Resistance noted.

We will remind, in the temporarily occupied Sevastopol,

Russian soldiers were sentenced

to 3.4 and 3.5 years in the colony for refusing to fight against Ukraine.
