During the preliminary investigation of the explosion that took place in the territory of the military base in the city of Quilabamba in the province of Cusco in the south of Peru, the cause of the incident was the ignition of a warehouse where explosives were stored.

It was mentioned in the information that at least 5 soldiers and 14 civilians were injured as a result of the broken window panes from the blast wave.

All victims were admitted to hospitals for medical assistance.

In total, about 70 houses were damaged in the area near the military unit.

An investigation is currently underway.
