British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak spoke with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan today after the devastating earthquakes in Turkey.

APA's British office reports that Rishi Sunak expressed deep condolences to President Erdoğan regarding the loss of life and assured the continued support of Great Britain.

The prime minister confirmed that a 77-member British search and rescue team arrived in Gaziantep today with special equipment and dogs in response to the request of the Turkish government, and they will immediately start rescue operations.

President Erdoğan thanked the Prime Minister for the solidarity of Great Britain and welcomed the dispatch of the international search and rescue team and the medical support.
