19 countries of the European Union (EU) sent 27 search and rescue and medical teams to Turkey.

APA reports that EU Crisis Management Commissioner Janez Lenarčič mentioned this in a tweet.

He said that after the earthquake, a total of 1150 rescuers and 70 rescue dogs from the EU were sent to Turkey through the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.

The EU commissioner thanked the countries that sent aid to Turkey.
