Russian troops are trying to surround Bakhmut, but they do not have full fire control of the roads leading to the city.

Pavlo Kyrylenko, the head of Donetsk OVA, told about this in an interview with "Radio Liberty" on February 6.

He added that the occupiers understand that the attitude of the military command of Ukraine to the soldiers of the Defense Forces differs from the attitude of Russia to its soldiers.

"And they understand that we will, as I said, keep the life of our defenders as one of our main priorities," said the head of Donetsk OVA.

We will remind, the day before the military-political observer Oleksandr Kovalenko reported that a very large number of Russian paratroopers were concentrated in the Bakhmut sector, but not enough to fully attack the bridge.

According to the analyst, the enemy is trying to enter Bakhmut and start city battles. 

At the same time, on the same day, President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that the Russian invaders are trying to surround Bakhmut and break Ukrainian defenses there.

The Armed Forces continue to oppose the enemy.
