Seismologists recorded an underground tremor with a magnitude of 5.8.

This was reported in the Kamchatka branch of the Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

It is noted that the earthquake occurred at 18:45 Kamchatka time - 9:45 Kyiv time.

The epicenter of the earthquake was 189 kilometers from Severno-Kurilsk.

"The depth is 42 kilometers, the magnitude is 5.8," the report says.

By the way, after a powerful earthquake on February 6, the epicenter of which was in the region of Kahramanmaras, Turkey, a series of aftershocks swept through the world.
